The Pyrenees 4WD/Camping 2010
26 April 2010
What a fantastic campsite! Glen Patrick Reserve had flushing toilets, a stone shelter with a large fireplace and tables and wooden seats, plus plenty of room for tents, caravans and campers.
After arriving mid arvo, some of the boys were chomping at the bit and decided to set off for a short drive straight after setting up camp. It wasn’t long after they set off than the rain set in and the tales of slipping, sliding and white faces took up most of the camp fire chat that night. Thankfully the weather cleared on the Sunday and the drivers were given the opportunity to enjoy the Pyrenees.
From all reports those who had never been before were suitably impressed with the driving challenges. This is definitely one to keep on the calendar for future trips. Drier weather would have offered even more challenges and even those who had been before found that tracks change over time and present new challenges from year to year.
